Carnegie Screenwriters Showcase 2025

October 19 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

The Lindsay’s next Emerging Filmmakers Showcase will celebrate one of this region’s longest-running creative collectives.

The 2025 Carnegie Screenwriters Showcase will take place at The Lindsay on Sunday, Oct. 19, from 1-5 p.m. Carnegie Screenwriters first formed in 1998 and since has grown to include writers, filmmakers, film artists, actors, teachers and students from Western Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia. These days, Carnegie Screenwriters has participants based in California and as far away as Australia.

Their 2025 showcase will feature 10 short films created by Carnegie Screenwriter members. This event is free, and The Lindsay recommends that all prospective attendees use the form below to RSVP in advance.

• Odyssey: In the wake of a global pandemic, a young soldier struggles through a hostile landscape to reunite with his wife. Directed by Bob Scott.

• Amy: A couple meets for coffee and a special date. Directed by Bob Scott and written by Bob Skywark as a tribute to his college sweetheart.

• Edges: A wife grieves the loss of her husband while reminiscing about their favorite holiday tradition of building gingerbread houses. Written and directed by Delaney Hathaway.

• Lucky Charms: A superstitious young man tells his best friend about an awkward first date. Directed by William Gleeson and written by Samir Tanay.
